How to Set Up a Cashback Incentive

Learn how to reward customers with cashback after they leave a review.

Fera allows you to reward customers with incentives for leaving reviews. One option is a cashback incentive, which refunds a set amount to the customer after they submit a review.

This guide explains how to set it up.

Step 1: Go to Incentives

  • Open your Fera Dashboard

  • Navigate to Incentives

  • Click + New Incentive

  • Select Cashback

Step 2: Set the Cashback Amount

Enter the cashback amount you want to offer.

When a customer submits a review, Fera will refund the selected amount to the customer’s original payment method from their most recent order.

Step 3: Configure Cashback Limits

Choose how often the cashback can be applied:

1 per order – Cashback can be applied once per order

1 per product – Cashback can be applied once per product

This helps you control how often customers can receive cashback rewards.

Step 4: Set Conditions

Cashback incentives follow the same conditions as discount incentives.

Enable Required Submission to make sure customers must submit a review before receiving cashback.

You can allow:

  • Text-only reviews

  • Photo or video reviews (optional)

Step 5: Customize the Reward Message

You can customize the message customers receive after their cashback is applied.

Example message:

Hey {{ customer.first_name | default: "friend" }},
Your {{ claim.formatted_amount }} cashback has been refunded to your most recent order.
Thanks for being so awesome!

Once everything is set, review your settings and click Save.

📝 Note: You have to approve your customer's submissions before their reward is given to them.
